Lighters Call will

South Suffolk (Bay Shore NY) shipped 45 pounds of
supplies to the Houston Food Bank serving families impacted
by Hurricane Katrina. The Society also raised money to aid
Transylvania flood victims by raffling off a bead bracelet
crafted by a Society member; the donation was supplemented
by the Society's Helping Hand fund.

UU Church at Washington Crossing
(Titusville NJ) has sent more than 2000
stuffed animals to children in
hurricane-ravaged Mississippi,
Louisiana, and Alabama, a project
started by church member Julie Lambert
and her children.

. The UU Congregation of the South Fork
(Bridgehampton NY) is planning a
day-long retreat addressing how
to engage the congregation on issues of
social justice. The retreat will be
under the guidance of a UUA facilitator.
